Allow your kids to go biking because it is such a fun activity.  Kids are playful and would like to learn a lot, and teaching your kids how to ride a bike is a good activity and bonding time for the father and son.  However, it is also important that the kids are taught the rules on safety.  Set limits and have your kids promise that they do not overstep those limits.  

Since your kids cannot ride the bike inside the house and would need to go outdoors, making sure that they are safe should be top priority.  Your kids can be tempted to go on the streets when there are no passing cars, so looking back on your warning should be utmost to them.

If you allow your kids to ride in the streets, tell them the importance of looking both ways before they set out and ride on the streets.  Unlike bicycle parts, human body parts cannot be replaced so they should keep themselves safe.  Safety must be their utmost priority in riding bikes on the street.
